Jefferson County Democratic Party HQ Open
House Announced; Special Guest Lt. Gov Barbara
Lawton
There will be an open house for the new party
headquarters on Thursday, May 1, 2008; from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The special guest
will be Lt. Government Barbara Lawton.
The headquarters is located in
the Jefferson Area Business Center, 218 Wisconsin Drive in Jefferson. Wisconsin
Drive intersects Racine Street (Hwy 18) at the west side of the Racine Street
Bridge. The door to the headquarters is at the far south end of the building.
The phone number is 920-728-2182, and the office hours for now are every
Wednesday from 6PM to 9PM. More news as the fall election season approaches.

Dems Spring Formal, Saturday, April 19th, 2008
The Whitewater
College Democrats will have there spring formal will be Saturday, April 19th,
2008. Special guests will be State Representatives Kim Hixon, Mike Sheridan,
and Assistant Democratic Leader Representative Jon Richards. The cost of $10,
RSVP by April 15th; Social Hour begins at 5pm; silent auction at 5:00pm to
7:00pm. Speaking program at 5:30pm.
Coffee With the Candidate Series Starts
Saturday, March 22, 2008.
There will be the first "Coffee with
the candidates" event on Saturday, March 22nd at the campaign headquarters
starting at 9am and ending at 11am. Jefferson County District Attorney
Candidate Susan Hepp and State Representative Andy Jorgensen are scheduled to
be there. All Democratic Party candidates appearing on the fall ballot are
encouraged to attend as well.
Dick Schultz Voted To Democratic Wall of
Fame
Local Democratic activist Dick
Schultz was voted to the Jefferson County Democratic Party's Wall Of Fame at
the Presidents Day Dinner on February 19, 2008 in Watertown. Dick is a former
candidate for State Assembly and long time activist helping many local and
state Democratic candidates. We salute Dick for his past efforts and look
forward to his continued work.

Dear Wisconsin Progressive,
Im writing
today to thank you, the local activists, for all of your past support and hard
work on behalf of myself and other elected Democrats at all levels
across our state. As you know, by working together last year, we were
able to take back the State Senate, make huge gains in the Assembly, elect a
Democrat in the 8th Congressional District, and of course re-elect our
Governor/Lt. Governor and Senior Senator in resounding victories.
But
there is much more work to be done as we inch closer to 2008. My staff and I
are continuing to travel the state, hold our steering committee meetings, and
talk to folks on the ground in every corner of every county. Were
continuing to build on the work we did together last year and will again do all
that we can to elect Democrats at all levels leading up to 2008. However, we
cant do anything without your help.
So I wanted to be sure you
had our campaigns contact information. The easiest way to contact us is

whether you, or someone you know, are thinking about running for state office,
